2009 has been quite a year in healthcare.
Many health stories took center stage, from healthcare reform taking place in Congress to the H1N1 pandemic and controversial mammogram guidelines announced by a government-appointed panel - just to name a few.
Also studies showed the heavy toll obesity is taking on Americans' health and that it accounts for at least 9 percent of all medical spending, up from about 6 percent in 1998.
Oh, and who can forget Nadya Suleman, also known as Octomom. She gave birth to octuplets after having in vitro fertilization, raising questions about whether fertility doctors should be regulated.
Quite a year indeed!
As 2009 comes to a close, we look forward to discussing and debating various healthcare issues with you in 2010.
